Abstract
    Nineteen species of Styelidae, colonial for the most part, are described or cited in the lagoon. Eight are new species. Among eleven already known species nine are present in Australia. Four species have a wide distribution covering all warm seas in some cases. The new species all belong to genera of which maximum diversity is located in tropical areas.
