Abstract
Computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA) was used to examine motility of metal-exposed goldfish and rainbow trout sperm. Mercury was the most toxic metal, significantly decreasing sperm motility in goldfish at 0.1 mg l super(-1) Hg super(2+) and in rainbow trout at 0.7 mg l super(-1) Hg super(2+). The toxicity of mercury was decreased in the presence of bovine serum albumin (BSA).
