Abstract
The South Okanagan Conservation Strategy is a five-year management plan that was created to co-ordinate the efforts of two major projects: the Nature Trust of British Columbia's South Okanagan Critical Areas Program and the B.C. Environment's Okanagan Endangered Spaces Habitat Conservation Fund Project. Seven key objectives and associated conservation actions are recommended. These focus on the identification and protection of threatened habitats and species, encourage sustainable use of the land, and promote interagency and public involvement. Integrated management opportunities and operational activities are also described under a co-operative framework in which key agencies are identified.
