Abstract
    Enterocola sydnii is a copepod associated with the compound ascidian Sidnyum elegans from the Strait of Gibraltar. The morphology is described and the known hostforms are compared. The distribution of European species of the genus are discussed, with species reference to E. sydnii. Furthermore, some aspects of the biology of this genus are discussed.
