Abstract
    This work is a first approach to the study of the main Cheilostomata bryozoans communities of the littoral coast of the Canary Islands. The different ecological factors which interfere in the distribution of the species, as well as relationship between their zoarial forms and habitats, are discussed from a qualitative point of view.
