| Abstract |
The name Cyclotella comensis is commonly assigned to two different forms. One has a marginal regular striation, whereas the other shows an irregular striation which covers a large part of the center of the valve. In an old material of Como's Lake, authors found these two forms; here is perhaps the origin of this confusion, whereas Grunow's drawings, for this species, are unequivocal and correspond only with the second form with irregular striation. |
