Abstract
    A transect was established along the Morlaix river bed. The fauna includes 103 spp predominantly from two families: Comesomatidae and Linhomoeidae. Species composition is primarily influenced by grain-size characteristics and secondarily by the range of estuarine conditions. These factors are significantly correlated with species diversity as well as with trophic composition.
