Abstract
    A parasitic rhizocepahlan of R. harrisii, located on the North Carolina shores (USA), is described and refered to L. panopei. Study of the population concerned shows important morphological and biological differences compared to that of the Mexican Gulf. The significance of this polymorphism is discussed.
