Abstract
    The author describes the zoea of Heterocrypta maltzani and the different larval stages of Parthenope massena in plankton collected from the Mediterranean. In certain characters, the zoeal phase is comparable to that of the Cancroidea while the megalops stage corresponds with that of the Oxyrhynches.
