| Abstract |
Zooplankton was collected from 22 stations between Rhodes, Greece and the Straits of Gibraltar in depths between 700 and 2200 m during May and June 1969. Samples from 11 stations were examined and the following spp identified: Spinocalanus abyssalis, S. magnus, S. parabyssalis, S. neospinosus sp. n. Mimocalanus cultrifer, and Monacilla typica. S. neospinosus sp. n. is described and figured. A key to the spp of the Spinocalanidae from the Mediterranean Sea is given. |
