Abstract
Triploid yellowtail flounder larvae were produced using a hydrostatic pressure shock technique with successful induction rates peaking between 93 and 100 %. The recommended treatment is a 10 minute application of 7 000 psi initiated at 5 minutes post-fertilization. Increasing percentages of diploids were seen in pressure shocks less than 7 000 psi.
