Abstract
Sperm samples from two sturgeon species of Volga river population were cryopreserved by different cooling rates (4 and 10 degree C/min) with the contained 37,1% (weight) sucrose and 5,7% DMSO in the tris-HCl buffer (pH=7,96) cryoprotectant and applied to eggs insemination after thaw. In results the postthaw sperm motility varied from 40% up to 50% in all trials, but only the cooled by 4 degree C/min sperm was able to initiated the normal eggs development.
