| Abstract |
Results of comprehensive studies during the cruises conducted by R/V "Ivan Petrov" and small boats (1991-1993) are presented.The aspects of investigations included: hydrological, hydrochemical and hydrobiological parameters observations, biochemical analysisof sea water. Estimation of primary production by the data on chlorophyll and oxygen (with exposition of 6, 12 and 24 h) werecarried out. For the first time reliable values of dissolved and particulate organic matter, rates of the organic matter oxidation bymicroplankton, rates of the phosphate regeneration processes were obtained. Analysis of production - destruction processes ispresented. The White Sea studies also comprised the complex ecotoxicology of the sea water and sediments and the determination ofthe detergents distribution (oil hydrocarbons, polynuclear hydrocarbons and phenols). |
