| Abstract |
Two species of tube building polychaetes, Sabellaria spinulosa (Leuckart, 1849) and Spirobranchus lamarcki (Quatrefages, 1866) are reported on shells of the bivalve mollusc queen scallop Aequipecten opercularis washed ashore on the Belgian coast. The former proved to have been found on more occasions, the latter is often confused with the much more common tubeworm Spirobranchus triqueter (Linnaeus, 1758). |
