| Abstract |
Dermomurex spinosus, a new species from Guadeloupe, French Indies, is described here. It has been collected in June 2015 during the expedition KARUBENTHOS 2 of the Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle de Paris (MNHN) in 312-480m deep. Seven species of the genus Dermomurex are known from Guadeloupe: Dermomurex abyssicola (Crosse, 1865), D. boucheti Garrigues & Merle, 2014, D. pruvosti Garrigues & Merle, 2014, D. fajouensis Garrigues & Merle, 2014, D. tararensis Garrigues & Merle, 2014, D. alabastrum (Adams,1864) et D. worsfoldi Vokes, 1992. Sequencing made it possibleto bring closer with good statistical support the new species of D. boucheti and of D. neglecto (Habe & Kosuge, 1971) publié parMarco et al. en 2010 (N. Puillandre personal communication). Dermomurex spinosus n. sp. is compared to these two species as well as two other species: Dermomurex (Takia) gofasi Houart,1996 and D. (T.) infrons Vokes, 1974. |
