| Abstract |
A key is presented to the West Atlantic species of Halichoeres; the nine species are diagnosed and their coloration is described. Numerous new locality records and range extensions are included, among them the first valid records of H. pictils (Poey) and H. bathyphilus (Beebe and Tee-Van) since their original descriptions. |
