Abstract
    New Ascidians collected and precise descriptions of related species provide an opportunity to discuss the value of two genera : one recent, Tibitin Monniot C., 1983 which is confirmed, the other very much earlier, Sidnyum Savigny, 1816 which is abandoned, the species being located in the genus Aplidium Savigny, 1816. Some species of tropical Perophoridae are recorded for the first time in the Mediterranean Sea. Two new species, Aplidium ocellatum and Tibitin probatus, are described.
