| Abstract |
The section Zoologie of Duperrey's "Voyage autour du monde, Exécute par Ordre du Roi, sur La Corvette de sa Majesté, la Coquille, pendant les années 1822, 1823, 1824 et 1825" appeared in 28 livraisons, forming two text volumes in-4° (each m two parts) and an atlas in-folio of 157 engraved plates. Previous authors established the publication dates of livraisons, giving the collation of all the text and most plates, but 22 of these remained unassigned. A copy of the atlas with livraisons in original wrappers, kept in the Kenneth Spencer Research Library (Lawrence, Kansas, USA), allowed the complete collation of the work to be reconstructed. The contents and dating of all livraisons are listed, full references for text volumes and atlas, summary of text volumes, and captions to atlas plates are provided in appendix. |
