| Abstract |
The Tertiary substratum between Ghent and Overmere (East Flanders, Belgium) consists of subhorizontal layers of Ypresian, Paniselian, Ledian and Bartonian age, which represent almost the entire Eocene, except the Bruxellian. A description of the facies and the sedimentological features of the sediments is given. A hypsometric map of the top of the Tertiary formations and a geological map of the studied area have been compiled from all available informations. |
