Abstract
    The little-known trophozooid of Doliolum denticulatum Quoy and Gaimard, 1834 is described from a large number of specimens. This description is compared with and discussed in relation to an earlier description by Grobben (1882). An attempt is presented to clarify systematics by comparison with the few other known trophozooids.
