| Abstract |
Since its origin the systematic arrangement of the genus Metula has been rather controversial; this problem has been settled only recently, by means of anatomical studies, but there are still some disagreements among taxonomists. An unknown buccinid belonging to this genus is here described and is given the name Metula somalica. |
