Abstract
    Exotic species are known to occur in brackish lagoons of the Adriatic Sea. The present article reports on the presence of four exotic bivalves (Anadara inaequivalvis, Xenostrobus sp., Tapes philippinarum and Musculista senhousia) found in the Ravenna area. Possible mechanisms of introduction of such aliens in these lagoons are discussed.
