Despite the economic crisis, the Westerschelde Container Terminal (WCT) in Vlissingen-Oost is and will remain a project of outstanding importance. One that should be realized as soon as possible. Especially when the economy will improve, all types of goods will be transported across the world by means of gigantic container ships, which can be loaded and unloaded at a WCT. Without a WCT, Zeeland will miss the boat of large-scale container transhipment, which will backfire on the ports of Zeeland and the regional economy. |
