| Abstract |
Scyliorhinus canicula is an Atlanto-Mediterranean demersal Selachian from middle depth, searching for coralligenous bottoms, in Tunisia at least. Along Tunisian coasts males are adults on and after 40 cm of total length, females more tardily between 40 and 45 cm of total length approximatively. Reproduction would take place all the year round, like vitellogenesis and production of egg-capsules. This last, nevertheless, is subjected to seasons changes. Incubation in aquaria spread from 180 to 285 days. Fecundity reaches from 96 to 115 eggs per year and it appears that this last increases with size. Eggs capsules study points out that their size is 4,3 cm of length without threads in average ; 1,6 cm of large and 2,8 g in average. |
