Abstract
Talochlamys pusio is a bivalve presenting two different morphotypes: juvenile and adult. The first one is regularly oval in outline and not fixed. The second one, clearly distorted, is cemented to the substrate. In adult life, the bivalve binds to the most diverse solid substrates. Some examples are illustrated here. Distorted specimens of the related species Talochlamys multistriatus are sometimes confused with specimens of Talochlamys pusio. Criteria for differentiation are proposed.
