Abstract
Four new genera of echinoderms, recently discovered in the Upper Cambrian of the Montagne Noire, in the Herault department (Southern France), are described. They are Lobocarpus vizcainoi, Barroubiocystis radiata, Velieuxicystis ornata and Scoteinocystis cambriensis. The first one is a cornute carpoid, classified as a Phyllocystidae. The next two are considered as glyptocystitid cystoids, forming a line close to, but distinct from, that of Macrocystella, and apparently having as oldest known representative Cambrocrinus, from the Upper Cambrian of Poland. Scoteinocystis, of which only the dorsal surface is preserved, is an enigmatic echinoderm. To be mentioned also, an unamed specimen representing a late Cambrian continuation of the Stromatocystites line. All these fossil echinoderms come from two levels, possibly of Lower Franconian age.
