Abstract
Fish farming in Norway is a young and rapidly growing industry .The Norwegian State Pollution Control Authority (SFT) means it is necessary to set a number of environmental goals to reach the main goal, a sustainable fish farming industry. A number of technical solutions have to be introduced to achieve these environmental goals. To ensure this SFT will use regulations, information for and cooperation with the fish farming industry and support the development of better environmental technology. New, stricter regulations will be implemented in 1992.
