| Abstract |
Plankton seasonal succession in 4 zones of different types of vertical water structure in the north-western Japan Sea (Coastal, Primorye Current, Subarctic, Interfrontal of Polar Front) was considered on the data obtained in 1992-1996. Some peculiarities in certain zones were defined: the number and strength of phytoplankton blooms and the rate of zooplankton communities succession differed between zones. The differences were regarded to quantity and share of dominant species and groups of invertebrates but species composition in different zones was similar. Seasonal changes of maturity for main species of zooplankton were considered as well, so their life histories could be traced. |
