Abstract
Chaetopleura staphylophera n.sp., from off North Carlina, the Bahamas, and both Florida coasts, differs from other western Atlantic Chaetopleura by possession of considerably larger, nonaligned pustules on end valves and lateral areas of intermediate valves, and from the west American C. gemma in that pustules of that species are aligned in radial rows. Relegation of Calloplax Thiele, 1909, to synonymy with Chaetopleura Shuttleworth, 1853, is recommended.
