Abstract
    Outline of the plan for the new container terminal at Antwerp which will have a capacity of 400,000-600,000 containers a year. Antwerp hopes to win one of Rotterdam's biggest customers, Sealand. Another new port development is the construction of the Vrasene dock, located halfway along the Waasland Canal in the new port area on the left bank of the Scheldt.
