| Abstract |
Electroaerosoltherapy is one of the newest modalities in physical therapy. While aero-ionization utilizes predominantly gaseous ions as an inhalant, electroaerosol employs finely nebulized water or aerosols of selected pharmaceuticals as vehicles of an electrical charge. With the broadening of our knowledge and experience with electroaer:osols, there is good reason to assume that in the future the indications for this form of therapy will be substantially widened. In many cases it shows a definite superiority to aeroionotherapy and the common aerosol inhalations. Unspecific electroaerosoltherapy with distilled or mineral waters, or inorganic substances as sodium chloride, calcium, etc. can be applied simultaneously to a group of patients while specific therapy with medicinal substances is preferably limited to single individuals. |
