| Abstract: |
ADECAL is an agency created in 1995, with a board drawn from public authorities, the corporate world.
ADECAL’s scope of activity traditionally covers investment promotion, planning within New Caledonia,
external trade development and regional cooperation in the Asia Pacific Region. It also includes activities
aiming at the sustainable management and valorisation of biodiversity, through the Zoneco R&D programme
(marine resources of New Caledonia), or European projects of which the agency is a partner (eg NETBIOME).
Finally, ADECAL is also involved in promoting innovation within New Caledonia, through a
Technopole (Innovation and Technology park), whose first priority theme is the valorization and
vulnerability of marine ecosystems and biodiversity. For its regular missions, as for specific projects, the role
of ADECAL is to ensure the funding engineering and the pooling of resources for the design and
implementation of joint actions, with the consultation of all public and private local stakeholders. ADECAL
also relies on a significant number of networks, whether national, regional, European or international. |
