The rich programme of the conference joined high level political participation with workshops with a high level of stakeholder involvement. Panel discussions and plenary sessions considered the EU’s Integrated Maritime Policy in general and in relation to the Mediterranean in particular, as well as the importance of clusters as a means of boosting the economies of maritime regions. 15 workshops focused on cross-policy issues as they affect the sea.
