Abstract
The distribution of zoobenthos in estuaries is not only influenced by sediment characteristics, but also by hydrodynamic features. In this study the occurrence of zoobenthos is related to current velocities and sediment transport patterns. Observations have been carried out in two cross-sections in the brakish part of the Schelde estuary.
