International Cooperation Agreements (MoUs)
Since the founding of VLIZ, its central task has been to support marine scientific research in the broadest sense of the word and to make this research visible and accessible. Collaboration with universities, research institutions, and individual research groups at home and abroad is therefore continuously strengthened.
VLIZ has approximately 36 cooperation agreements with universities, individual research groups, scientific institutions, network organizations, and government agencies, some of which have been in force since the start of VLIZ. These cooperation agreements consolidate practical arrangements and action points to support:
• Data management
• Dissemination of research results
• Documentation of activities
• Contact details of research groups
• Use of research infrastructure
• Scientific cooperation and knowledge exchange
