Identification of secondary foraging grounds for green turtles as they depart Mantanani, Malaysia

Toegang tot data

Nota: Only data aggregated per 1-degree cell are available through OBIS. For access to additional data, the provider needs to be contacted.

Beschrijving
Juvenile turtles recruit at Mantanani from their post-hatchling neritic drifting years at some 30 cm in CCL and reside there for some 5-6 years and they subsequently depart to secondary foraging grounds - presently unknown. This project will track small (40-60 cm CCL) green turtles as they depart Mantanani to identify the location of the secondary foraging areas. For conservation to be successful, we aim to inform governments and conservaiton agencies of the connectivity of marine habitats with this work.
