Distributions data of seabirds along the Patagonian coast, 1993-1995. meer
Updated distribution of sixteen species of seabirds along the Patagonian coast. Number of breeding pairs at colonies of penguins, cormorants, gulls and terns were evaluated by aerial, boat and ground surveys carried out between 1993-1995 during the implementation of the Patagonian Coastal Zone Management Plan (Fundación Patagonia Natural and Wildlife conservation Society - GEF-UNDP). Census dates were timed to coincide with the late incubation period for each species. Additional information after 1998 was updated with published records. Original data obtained from http://arobis.cenpat.gov.ar/digir/DiGIR.php and registered into iOBIS on 2008-07-07. This dataset on OBIS-SEAMAP is a subset of marine mammal, seabird and/or sea turtle records from the dataset on iOBIS (Total number of records: 551) harvested into OBIS-SEAMAP on 2011-10-11. Dataset credit = Argentinean RON.
