In 1947 the Fisheries Research Board of Canada (FRB) initiated the Eastern Arctic Investigations. These were seasonal marine biological investigations led by Prof. M.J. Sampling methods were varied and included: hydrographic; sounding; plankton hauling; littoral collecting; benthos (dredging); benthos (trawling); seine fishing; hand-line fishing; long-line fishing; gill-net fishing; shark; sealing. Data from series numbers 5,6,7,9,11,14,16,18,23 and 24 have been included with results showing species location and presence only.
