Abstract |
Marine organisms live in metapopulations because of connectivity in the ocean. A very common demersal fish, the sand goby, of the Belgian Continental shelf will be studied with high-resolution genetic markers to quantify spatio-temporal variation in population structure. We expect that geographical and oceanographic characteristics influence the structure on a large scale while behaviour traits influence small-scale patterns. |
