Abstract
    Predicting future oceans requires integrated interdisciplinary research and examining mechanisms of socio-ecological linkages at multiple spatial scales. This conclusion explores various theories of causal linkages between global environmental changes, states of fisheries, socio-cultural conditions of coastal communities, and ocean governance.
