Abstract |
Two sorts of models were designed. The first one os based on the dynamic approach of the cultivated populations of oysters, showing that a bay has a carrying capacity which cannot be exceeded. Even if the stock is increasing, the production has reached its maximal level. The second one is an analytical model taking the level of food, the currents, and the energetic demand of each population of the bay into account. It is the coupling of a physical and biological model which can give answers with regard to the effect of modifications in the carrying capacity (pollutions, variations in quantity and quality of the inputs of freshwater, etc.) on the production level of oysters. |
