OCENICOS' strategic programme includes: academic training for students at all levels; development of joint Marine Science postgraduate courses wirh other universities; participation in field related international networks; agreements with other national and international institutions carrying out Marine Science related research; interaction with government institutions and practitioners to provide them with tools to assist the management and conservation of marine and coastal ecosystems
