Description:The 4th World Ocean Network International Meeting Acting Together for the Future of the Blue Planet including the 1st World Ocean Academy will be held on 9-12 May 2010 in Nausicaá, Boulogne sur Mer, France in link with 2010 International Year of Biodiversity.
The 4th International Meeting participants will evaluate past and underway education and outreach activities on sustainable use of the Ocean and draw up a joint action plan to further mobilize citizens and the civil society in the different regions of the world.
The meeting will follow the 5th Global Conference on Oceans, Coasts and Islands Advancing Integrated Ocean Governance at National, Regional, and Global Levels, 3-7 May 2010, UNESCO, Paris, France that will address the major policy issues affecting the oceans and put forth proposals to advance the global oceans agenda. |
