Abstract
Crangon vulgaris (Fabr.) in brackish water (S, 10%; temperature, 10°C) was found to have a urine: haemolymph ratio for magnesium ranging from 1.5: 1 to 5:1. Haemolymph magnesium concentration throughout the moulting cycle was held far below the outer medium, while the urine magnesium was higher than in the medium. Calcium concentration in both haemolymph and urine was always above the medium concentration. The urine: haemolymph ratio for calciums was <1:1.
