Relive CommOCEAN 2016: up-to-date on marine science communication

CommOCEAN conference – 6 and 7 December 2016

The conference tackled specific questions: What makes marine science communication so special? How to target your public and maximize the impact of your science communication? How to share your results on social media and visualize them in the most effective way? How you can learn creative thinking and use new formats dealing with art, citizen science and the media?

All materials of the conference and training course are now made available through the conference website.  

Video recordings of all plenary talks in the conference main room can be found on the You Tube Channel CommOCEAN2017. You can also go to the Programme page on the conference website and click on the YouTube logo’s to watch the presentations again.

CommOCEAN training course – 8 December 2016
 
The high-level training course dealt with several aspects of the use of techniques and technologies for ocean science communication, with a specific focus on digital storytelling and the use of social media to develop and implement communication and outreach  programs.

The syllabus of the training course “Ocean Science Communication Tools” by Lisa Tossey, including all course materials and videos are freely available on the OceanTeacher e-Learning Platform (registration needed, free). The videos of the workshop sessions are also available on the OceanTeacher YouTube Channel.
