A class from the high school Atheneum in Ghent will be in close contact with the scientists on board of the research vessel 'Belgica': the class will present themselves shortly, they will be introduced in the concept of a scientific campaign with a research vessel and the scientific background, they follow the logbook of scientists on board and ask them questions.
But also you can follow the experiences of the deep sea scientists through the logbook on the Class@Oceans II website. Photos and videos will be added during and afterward the cruise.
The Class@Oceans-project is online this and the following weeks (26 May till 13 June). It is the second time that deep sea scientists are followed by a class of high school students. To read more about the first Class@Oceans and other expeditions, see the educational page of our VLIZ website!
