European culinary contest for young chefs and catering school students: cooking with sustainable seafood

Organizer of the contest is SeaWeb Europe (www.seaweb-europe.org) with the personal support of the French chef Olivier Roellinger and many other partners, among others the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) in Belgium.

Interested candidates do have to register by writing to SeaWeb Europe in Paris (concours@seaweb-eu.org), specifying in which category they want to participate (professional or student). Candidates will then receive the complete registration file with all further details to participate in this contest. Applications forms are welcomed in in English, French or Spanish.Submission of the file is finally due 31 December 2016.

Selected candidates within the category young chefs will be invited to cook and defend their species of choice in the Ferrandi Paris catering school. Selected students chefs will have to present their skills and knowledge in one of the participating catering schools in Sweden, Poland, Spain or France.

Since last years edition, the contest – originally organised only for French speaking chefs in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switserland – has been extended for candidates from all European countries.
