A jury will select the winning candidate and make this news public at the VLIZ Marine Scientist Day 2016 on 12 February 2016 in Bruges. The winner will get the opportunity to present his/her communication action plenary on the 2017 edition of the VLIZ Marine Scientist Day.
On the occasion of the VLIZ Marine Scientist Day 2016 (Friday 12 February) PhD-student and archaeologist Jan Trachet - winner of the 2015 edition of this award - will plenary present the trajectory and products we developed together in the last year. He works at the Ghent University in the interdisciplinary landscape archaeologic research of the medieval Bruges and its outports. To make his study sites, methods and outcome better known towards a wider public, the visually very attractive project website www.zwinproject.ugent.be was developed (only in Dutch).
