The weight of the caught shrimp is recorded for each hand trawling event, together with the number of fish entrapped in the net (sole, dab, brill, whiting, cod, etc.). more
In addition, the hand trawler also reports on the moment of low tide and the water level at low tide, based on the tide-tables available for Oostende). Wind-direction and -speed are based on personal observations.
