Seal
Description Gridded abundance map of seal species. This product was developed with DIVA (Data-Interpolating Variational Analysis), scale is log transformed abundances. The observation of different Seal species were taxonomically pooled to exclude wrong species identifications and create a product representing the Seal abundance of the North Sea. Data was provided by JNCC (Joint Nature Conservation Committee).Citation: European Marine Observation Data Network (EMODnet) Biology project (www.emodnet-biology.eu), funded by the European Commission’s Directorate - General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE).
